چکیده

Background Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a sort of inflammatory arthritis that affects axial skeleton, peripheral joints, and certain extra-articular organs, including the eyes, skin, gut. Recently, many attempts have been made to use parasite administration (e.g., ingestion eggs nematode Trichuris suis) as new modality for treating disorders. Our group published Clonorchis sinensis protein attenuated inflammation in AS. Objectives Thus, this study aimed assess therapeutic potential sinensis-Excretory/Secretory (Cs-ESP) Methods Cytotoxicity Cs-ESP at different doses was assessed by MTS flow cytometry before performing experiments. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) synovial fluid (SFMCs) were obtained from AS patients. Inflammatory cytokine-producing analyzed using cytometry. The levels INF-g, IL-17A, TNF-a, IL-6 measured enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SKG mice treated with or vehicles. Inflammation evaluated immunohistochemistry. Results Treatment resulted no reduced cell viability PBMCs SFMCs. In experiments culturing SFMCs, frequencies IFN-g IL-17A producing significantly after treatment. mouse model, treatment suppressed enthesitis. Conclusion We provide evidence demonstrating can ameliorate clinical signs cytokine derangements Figure 1. ameliorates symptoms References [1]Kim TJ, Kim TH. Clinical spectrum ankylosing Korea. Urolithiasis in ankylosing spondylitis: Correlation with Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index (BASDAI), Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index (BASFI) and Bath ankylosing spondylitis metrology index (BASMI)

Background: Increased incidence of renal stone has been reported in ankylosing spondylitis (AS), but unlike some well-known renal involvements, they have not been fully studied. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of AS with urolithiasis and also the relation between urinary stone and severity markers. Methods: One hundred-sixty three AS patients were included in a cross-s...

OPINION Subclinical gut inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis

Recent findings Microbial dysbiosis as well as alterations of innate immune responses have been demonstrated in the gut of AS. Furthermore, a growing body of evidence suggests that the gut of AS patients may be actively involved in the pathogenesis of AS through the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-23p19, and the differentiation of potentially pathogenic innate lymphoid cells...

ASSOCIATION OF HLA-B27 WITH ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS IN ISFAHAN, IRAN

Using a standard microcytotoxicity (NIH) technique of tissue typing, the HLA-B27 antigen was identified in 30 out of 34 patients (HH.2%) with classical ankylosing spondylitis (AS), compared to 6 out of 70 controls (H.6%) (P < 0.005). We also found this antigen in 8 out of 76 (10.5%) patients with non-AS arthritis.

Metacercarial proteins interacting with WD40-repeat protein of Clonorchis sinensis.

The WD40-repeat proteins serve as a platform coordinating partner proteins and are involved in a range of regulatory cellular functions. A WD40-repeat protein (CsWD1) of Clonorchis sinensis previously cloned is expressed stage-specifically in the tegumental syncytium of C. sinensis metacercariae. In the present study, interacting proteins with the CsWD1 protein was purified by immunoprecipitati...
